Useful Tips
- by Jaume from Barcelona
Here in London we are very used to use the horn when the light is going to get green. Don't do that in Spain since there's plenty of people who get easily anoyed. Just wait and everything is going to be cool. Really.

For moving around the city I would recommend the bus and the subway. All the towns surrounding Valencia in a diameter of 20 km are well connected by train.
Scenic drives - by Tod from San Francisco
The highways in Spain make it possible to drive around the whole country comfortably and this is in my opinion the best way to do it! There are petrol stations and roadside services along the highways so it is very safe, and the country is beautiful beyond imagination. If you are crossing mountain passes, take my advice and rather pay the tolls. Non-toll mountain passes and tunnels are much more difficult to negotiate.
Traffic - by Collin from Edinburgh
Engaged in a healthy disageement with my mother-in-law whilst overtaking on a motorway, I discovered that laws regarding use of indicators are strictly enforced in Spain. I received an on the spot fine for not indicating before overtaking AND again before pulling back after overtaking.

Lived in Spain 5 Winters. My Tip is leave room dont drive to close and learn and obey traffic instructions. Watch out for the N340.
Speed limit - by Mark from Canada
Do not, I repeat do not disobey the rules of the road, the authorities are very strict and do not go lightly on you just because you are a foreigner, and do not know all the rules, make sure you have checked up on all of them. For instance: if you approach a town and are speeding there is a sensor which picks up your speed, if you are not within the limit, it flashes a red light and you have to stop, if there are 2 flashing red lights you are not allowed entry into the town. So be good and stick to the rules of the rd.
Parking - by J.M.Wragg from England
Sta Eularia.Be v careful with parking. Blue stripes on pavement-pay at meter-max 2 hours.Yellow stripes ,no parking.I got a ticket in an unrestricted road for not "maximising the available space!"60 euros.
