Museo Salzillo - Found in the church of Jesus, the Museo Salzillo has an excellent collection of religious sculptures from the
artist Francisco Salzillo.
Archaeological Museum - This superb museum has a fine collection of pieces which document Spanish history from
prehistoric times to the modern day. The large collection of Roman sculptures is particularly breathtaking.
Museo de Bellas Artes - This excellent fine art museum houses over 1,000 paintings which date from different times over the
last 500 years. The fantastic collection has work from many great artists including Picasso and Ribera.
Cathedral Museum - Murcia's Cathedral Museum has a great collection of religious art, including sculptures and altar pieces.
Possibly the most impressive sight is Las Musas, a fantastic Roman sarcophagus. |
